NDNU Computer Labs Policies

Users may be asked to present their valid student ID to the Lab Monitor.

In the PC Lab, log-in with your username and password. When you do that, you'll be able to save files to your personal directory on the labs server (H: drive). All PCs have both a floppy disc drive, and a front panel USB connector, so bring a floppy or flash drive (memory stick) if you wish to save to either of those drives. Always log-off when you're finished in the PC Lab.

In the Mac Lab, you don't need to log-in with a username and password. The Macs have side USB connectors, so you can save and copy files to your flash drive (memory stick). To copy files to your personal directory on the labs server, refer to the "How to Save Files in the Mac Lab to your Folder on the NDNU Labs Server" instructions on the desktop.

Here are some common sense guidelines:
  • Please print one copy only of your document. When you edit your work, print changed pages only.
  • When finished, close all applications that you are using.
  • Collect your belongings when you leave. (backpacks, books, clothes) Items left behind will be taken to the switchboard.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the labs.
  • No Meetings should be held in the labs.
  • Do not download and install software on Lab computers, even freeware.
  • No external audio is allowed in the labs (use headphones).
  • No talking on cell phones.
  • No pets allowed.
